Supporting the community that supports us
Every year Wormald employees support many charities and community initiatives in Australia and around the world.
Whether it is through sponsorship or donations, we are committed to helping those in need through a range of ongoing partnerships, some of which include:
Wormald has been working closely with RBWH for eight years, and have sponsored the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) Foundation and Burns Trauma, Critical Care Research Centre (BTCCRC) and the Queensland Skin Culture Centre (QSCC) at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital
The RBWH is the largest teaching and tertiary referral hospital in the Southern Hemisphere. Burns patients need the combined medical expertise of burns, intensive care and trauma units to help them stay alive and recover. The BTCCRC was an Australian first, linking these specialised units in a unique collaboration of medical researchers and practitioners.
The addition of the QSCC and Queensland Skin Bank will make the RBWH the only centre in Australia to have both an allograft skin bank (donor skin) and a skin culture service (“grown” skin). This partnership is an opportunity to connect our shared brand values to bring tangible value for a better quality of life to people injured in burns and other serious trauma accidents and to continue the good work already established by the BTCCRC.
