First Aid Training
This First Aid Training course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide care for the ill or injured until medical aid arrives. It is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid.

Nationally Accredited:
- HLTFA201A - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid (previously called “Senior First Aid”)
- HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR - LV RESCUE (Qld requirement)
- HLTFA404A - Apply advanced resuscitation techniques (QLD only)
RTO Number: Wormald run the First Aid Training through partnerships with other RTO’s under their arrangements.
Target Audience: First Aid Officers as well as any person who may need to render first aid
Duration: 1 day plus pre-work – online or workbook
Location: Your premises. For smaller groups, public courses are available at Wormald Sydney office on the first Thursday of the month and at the Wormald Brisbane office on the first and last Friday of each month.
Availability: This course is available in QLD
Participants: Maximum 15 per session
Prerequisite: Nil
Compliance: State OH&S regulations, meets WorkCover requirements
Course Overview:This is a comprehensive yet simple course suitable for all workplaces. This course teaches all the necessary skills to manage everyday emergency situations. The certificates presented by Wormald on the successful completion of this course are issued by our training partners

- Scene and incident assessment
- Primary assessment of the casualty
- Safety to self and casualty, medical emergencies
- Basic life support for adults, child and infant
- Management of external and internal bleeding
- Wound care, sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures
- Environmental conditions, burns, bites and stings
