Fire Extinguisher Training – Using Portable Fire
Fighting Equipment
Wormald offers both a nationally accredited and non accredited sessions of the Fire Extinguisher Training.
Both courses are a combination of theory and practical training, educating participants about the relevance of state fire safety regulations and providing the opportunity to develop operational techniques when using fire equipment in the workplace.
The differentiator between the two course options is that the Nationally Recognised Training (RTO) version is ideal for any employee who may need a nationally accredited qualification in this area.
Nationally Recognised Training (RTO) Session
Nationally Accredited: PRMPFES05B- Use portable fire fighting equipment.
Wormald RTO Number: 2839
Target Audience: Any employee who may need to extinguish a fire and may require a nationally accredited qualification
Duration: 3.5 hours
Location: Your premises.
Availability: This course is available in QLD, NSW, WA, SA and VIC
Prerequisite: Nil
Participants: Maximum 15 per session
Course Overview: These training courses consist of both theory and practical training. The participants will have: –
- Understanding of relevant state fire safety regulations
- Understanding of the theory of fire, classes of fire and fire extinguishing techniques
- Use of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose reels.
- Experience in extinguishing fires with fire equipment (live hot fires)
- Theory Exam
Non Accredited Session
Target Audience: Any employee who may need to extinguish a fire and requires standard training
Duration: 1.5 hours
Location: Your premises. Or for smaller groups, public courses are available the
first Friday of every month at the Wormald Sydney office and the first
Friday of every month in the Wormald Brisbane Qld office.
Availability: This course is available in QLD and NSW
Prerequisite: Nil
Participants: Maximum 15 per session
Course Overview: These training courses consist of both theory and practical training. The participants will have: –
- Understanding of relevant state fire safety regulation
- Understanding of the theory of fire, classes of fire and fire extinguishing techniques
- Use of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose reels.
- Experience in extinguishing fires with fire equipment (live hot fires)
