Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital Research Foundation |
In January 2007, Wormald signed a 5 year sponsorship agreement with the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH) Research Foundation. This sponsorship is a significant commitment by Wormald to the Foundation and gives Wormald the naming rights to the Burns, Trauma & Critical Care Research Centre, located at the RBWH in Brisbane. Wormald’s tagline is “Protecting People and Property” and since inception in 1889, the Company has been proud to be at the forefront of research and development into equipment and systems that promote fire prevention as well as fire protection. Wormald’s sponsorship will help support critical research by eminent experienced clinicians, focused on new lifesaving treatments for burns, trauma and intensive care patients. These patients need the combined medical expertise of burns, intensive care and trauma units to help them stay alive and recover. In an Australian first, the Burns Trauma and Critical Care Research Centre (BTCCRC) links these specialised units in a unique collaboration with medical researchers. This is an opportunity for Wormald to be part of a unique Australian partnership with Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital Research Foundation and University of Queensland (UQ). Wormald and the Research Foundation will be officially launching the Wormald Research Centre – Burns, Trauma & Critical Care later in 2007. |
