| The Wormald Light Vehicle Fire System or WLVFS has been developed for the suppression of fires occurring in the engine compartments of commercial, 4x4 and recreational vehicles, and small forklifts. Ordinary combustibles or flammable liquids can be ignited by the engine, turbo charger, exhaust manifold, electrical components or brakes. In little time the entire machine can be involved in fire. A burst hydraulic hose or faulty fitting can provide a continuous spray of burning fluid. The system has been designed to effectively suppress fire in vehicle engine spaces up to 1.5m3 in volume. If the engine space is larger than 1.5m3, an additional cylinder can be added, but the system has a maximum limit of two cylinders.
