AreaConnect 500 Application
This product is suitable for the following industries:
The AreaConnect 500 is a server appliance that complements the capabilities of AreaRAE wireless networks.
AreaRAE wireless networks are rapidly deployable systems used for the detection and monitoring of hazardous environments. They include a personal computer base station that monitors and locally displays real-time readings from up to 32 remotely located detectors placed within a two mile radius.
The AreaConnect 500 enables users to monitor a larger area than ever before by communicating with multiple AreaRAE wireless networks. The AreaRAE wireless networks may be located nearby or in a remote location from the AreaConnect 500. The required network connectivity can be provided through GPRS, wired ethernet, wireless 802.11, or satellite uplink.
The AreaConnect 500 delivers life-critical information in seconds and enables real-time decision making for emergency response, trend analysis for long-term studies, and corporate level safety monitoring of remote facilities. Users can access critical system information anywhere in the world via the Internet.
It is ideal for Hazmat incident coordination and scaling, worker and community protection, fenceline monitoring, industrial monitoring and multiple facility monitoring.
Features:
- Operates on independent Radio Frequency (RF) network IDs that can be combined into one large system
- XML data interface allows third-party software to process and display data
- Alerts via e-mail, SNMP and/or text messaging can be configured based on alert type, severity and time alert occurred
- Alert profiles let you customise notification actions at multiple escalation levels
- Up to 24 hours onboard data retention for reviewing recent alert data, graphs or pictures, and audio clips (optionally expandable to 180 days)
- Controls external devices such as door locks or light switches with the optional Relay Pod
- Connectivity through GPRS, wired ethernet, wireless 802.11, or satellite uplink
