Rescue teams often have to carry equipment significant distances between their response vehicle and the emergency scene. This equipment can weigh more than 100 kgs, requiring up to four team members for transport, and fatiguing thembefore they start rescue operations.

The Turnell Universal Rescue Kart (TURK) is a two-wheel kart that allows one person to transport equipment. A rescue/equipment basket can be used with the TURK. The weight of the basket binds with the TURK - no straps or time wasting procedures are required. The TURK can also beused to transport decontamination equipment, to carry a ladder loaded with equipment, or just about anything that needs to be moved.

The versatile TURK can even be used to transport casualties. Back boards and collapsible stretchers are easily secured to the TURK. Patients can be moved from the triage area to a transport vehicleby a single person, freeing up skilled resources for other rescue operations.
