The Emergency Rescue Mat is made from lightweight, tear resistant laminated fabric that has had ultra violet and fire retardant treatments. It has nine carry handles, stitched across the entire width of the mat, to allow flexibility in carry positions. The casualty can be strapped to the mat; a foot pocket prevents sliding on slopes and stairs. In reduced light situations a reflective strip helps rescue crewsorient the mat.
